90% of the exercise most people do to “build muscles” is counter-productive for the intensive strength that is required in arm wrestling competition. Fitness machines and standard exercises are designed to isolate a specific muscle during exercise. While fitness machines are beneficial for bodybuilders they can become counter-productive for functional sports fitness training. Bodybuilding and weightlifting competitions requires strength in isolated muscles, while all sports training, and especially arm wrestling, requires many muscle groups to work together in harmony.
